Vitalis’ complex clinical care team is led by senior ICU-trained and credentialed Registered Nurses overseen by our staff doctors, and staffed by trained nurses who are passionate about excellence in patient care.

Our services are delivered to you without any compromise to the clinical safety or health outcomes of your care.

Vitalis is accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) to the National Standards to provide complex clinical and care services in the home. We work with insurers and private clients to provide this service to patients.

Complex Care Services

Complex care is a service that requires the coordination of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for people with complex health issues. Vitalis’ mission is to make sure that anyone who wants to receive the support and assistance needed to live their everyday life within their local community and with their family has that opportunity. We aim to enable people to put the challenges of their sometimes chronic conditions aside with a clear understanding that their needs are met by highly qualified nurses and doctors who understand their complex health issues.

A complex care provider understands and works with your individual requirements to ensure that long-term support will be provided. This high-quality care is also available to meet short-term requirements.

A complex care team will look after a number of necessary clinical tasks including:

Wound management

Bowel Care

Bed Transfers

Tracheostomy Care

Care of those with a disability requiring complex medical care

The level of support offered by a team of complex care professionals is dependent on your needs. However, it is important to put these supports in place to allow you to have the choice of staying in your home – no matter what complex support you require.

Your Complex Care Team

Caregivers, family members, other social support workers, and community members can do a lot to assist with many everyday tasks in the life of a person who needs complex care. However, there are many things that only a qualified clinical professional is permitted to do.

Vitalis’ senior ICU-trained and credentialed Registered Nurses, staff doctors and trained nurses are all passionate about excellent patient care.

Complex care is a specialist area of care and we have the best team available to provide the care and treatment, that would normally require a hospital, at home.
