Vitalis Virtual Hospital Care provides a safe and effective alternative to hospital for patients who require active management in the community. It lets patient safely and securely connect with a medical expert through telehealth, remote monitoring and video conferencing.
How does Virtual Hospital Care work?
Vitalis uses telehealth remote monitoring technology and video conferencing to enable our clinical experts to check on, review and assess patients. This allows us to remotely provide hospital-standard care for patients at home.
The supplied data is collected on our platform. Our healthcare professionals have live access to this data so they can monitor the patient in real time.
Who can Vitalis Virtual Hospital Care help?
Vitalis Virtual Hospital Care can support people with heart failure, diabetes, COPD or a combination of all three conditions.
What technology is used/required?
There are two ways of providing Virtual Hospital Care:
- The patient uses their own monitoring equipment and then sends the data to us.
- Vitalis supplies the measuring equipment (e.g., oximeter, glucometer, blood pressure machine and thermometer) as part of the Virtual Hospital Care service.
Vitals Virtual also provides access to our platforms and app for easy sharing of the data. As part of the Virtual Hospital Care service, our team provides the technical support you need to be able to confidently access and use all devices and platforms.
How secure is the data?
Vitalis Virtual Hospital Care adheres to the highest standards of data-storage and privacy that are required in Australia. All data is securely stored by Vitalis and only limited numbers of people have access to this data.
