Vitalis Home Infusions
Vitalis nurses are experts in providing iron therapy at home, plus a range of other infusion treatments.

Comfort and convenience
Around one in three Australians are deficient in iron. In some case, a doctor may prescribe intravenous (IV) iron infusions as treatment. Instead of having to visit a clinic or other location, Vitalis safely carries out Iron IV infusions at home, along with other infusion therapies, in consultation with your treating specialist – for maximum patient comfort and convenience.
With Vitalis, IV infusion treatments can be given at home for a rang of conditions, including:
- Iron deficiency anaemia
- Multiple sclerosis
- Motor Neurone Disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis).

FAQs
What is an iron infusion (iron therapy)?
An iron infusion (also known as iron therapy) is a means of treating iron deficiency intravenously. It is a straightforward procedure that generally takes up to about an hour.
How do I get an iron infusion at home?
You need a prescription from a GP in order to get an iron infusion. You can then contact Vitalis and we will advise if we are able to give you an iron infusion in your home. Once confirmed, a trained Vitalis nurse will visit you at home to give you the infusion and also monitor you before, during and after the treatment.
What accreditations does Vitalis have?
Vitalis is one of only three hospital-at-home providers to be accredited to NSQHS standards. This means you can be assured of receiving hospital-standard treatment throughout your iron infusion process.
Are your nurses Vitalis employees?
Yes, every Vitalis nurse is a direct employee, not a subcontractor. This ensures quality of care and means you will never be in the position of having to directly pay our nurses.
How do I pay for an iron infusion from Vitalis Health?
Iron infusions are provided on a user-pays basis. Please contact us for more information and costs.
